By-Law Enforcement

The Rural Municipality of St. Laurent has passed a new Noise By-Law 18/2024. While similar to the previous Unnecessary and Harmful Noise By-Law 10/22, the current by-law provides property owners and visitors to the RM with explicit expectations related to noise in the Municipality. Please remember: if you, as a property owner in the Municipality, or guests staying at your property intend on making noise beyond the limits prescribed in the by-law, you may request a noise exemption!

Noise exemption requests must be received by the Municipality before the regularly scheduled council meeting that occurs before the event that is planned. Council may review the request and may pass a resolution permitted an exemption to the Noise By-Law 18/2024.
